This year our Directors retreat will combine great networking, information, planning, and an opportunity for us to meet with key decision makers. In addition to doing some planning and discussion around monitoring, performance standards, and other rising issues, we have some absolutely amazing guests:

Linda Smith, Deputy Assistant Secretary and Inter-Departmental Liaison for Early Childhood Development, Administration for Children and Families. Linda is a driving force in Washington DC on such issues as child care quality, streamlining of performance standards for Head Start, recompetition, and most of the issues that affect our programs directly.

Bill Bentley, CEO of Voices for America’s Children. Bill is one of the leading advocates for children in Washington DC, with a distinguished career that includes non-profit, government and private sector experience including serving as President and CEO of the Ounce of Prevention Fund and COO of the Points of Light Foundation. Bill has his finger on the pulse of what’s happening on Capitol Hill!
