WSA Advocacy Goals


Each year the WSA members, board members and staff work to identify key issues or initiatives affecting children and families at the state and federal level. The Board develops the proposed platform and planks, which are presented to the general membership for further input and changes as needed. The approved platform and planks create a focus for WSA staff, board and members on legislative activities.

Our 2009-2010 Advocacy Goals were passed by our board of directors and reviewed by the membership at our Fall Association Meeting in October.
